Prescription Lens Options

  • Single vision lenses (one prescription only) – could be for distance or for near vision and in some cases for everything
  • Multifocal (bifocals, trifocals and progressive lenses)
  • Progressive Lenses (no line) gradually changing prescription so vision is clear at all distances

Material Options

  • Glass lenses are still available but the new plastic lenses are scratch resistant, thinner, safer and lighter
  • Lens materials include CR-39 plastic, high index plastic, polycarbonate and new hybrid materials like Trivex
  • The best lens material for you is based in part on your prescription

  • UV protection and scratch resistant lenses are included when you get your lenses made here
  • Antireflective coatings improves night vision by reducing glare

Lens Tinting Options

  • No tint at all
  • Dark gray or brown sunglass shades
  • Transitions: Light Adaptive lenses are now available in 4 colors in addition to the standard gray and brown

    • Amethyst: a sophisticated shade with a contemporary twist
    • Amber: for a vintage look that is both timeless and of-the-moment
